Research Peer Review *2
Week 1
At the beginning of the third term, my tablemates and I made comments for each other. At the same time I discovered my own shortcomings in this action.
The first thing that sticks in my mind is Ryan’s feedback on my RESEARCH – it was nice to look at, but not interesting. This is one of the things I’ve been working on, my research has been very flat. the research has very little three-dimensional inspiration and lacks interactivity. After a few days of thinking about it, I realised that I needed to add more interesting elements to the subsequent inspiration editions. For example, some fabrics with modifications, paint with thickness, etc.
Of course I also realised that some of my strong points are that my painting skills are very good. I have also tried to use painting to make the drawings look more three-dimensional. But it was not enough. This is something I need to work on.
Week 4
My partner Gardenia gave me some very useful advice during week four of the Check List.
Firstly, I had not kept up with the pace of the course in terms of paperwork and I had not written down my reference list in time. Also, my plan was only in my head and not written down. This is something I need to rectify.
Secondly, in my project I drew many different paintings, resulting in less collage and a lack of interactivity. In terms of colour I did not show my colour panels in a timely manner, leaving me with some limitations in my choice of materials. In the three-dimensional work I came up very badly short in terms of Textile and as a designer I think this is one of the first things I need to improve.
Finally, the same problem emerged in my Blog – too inefficient. I haven’t even found the right cover yet as we approach week5 and I will be working on it in the future. In the meantime I have quickly remedied this problem for myself.
